If you are an American, I'm pretty sure you have been displeased with Jeremy Clarkson's opinions at some point. Well good news.
In case Top Gear UK's website is available internationally (You never know with the BBC) here is the link.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Also many an internet commentator has pointed out that the P1 is absent from the rewards. This is because it won a bunch of rewards last year.

Clarkson was already quite fond of the previous generation. I think off-the-record he's okay with American cars, contrary to his BBC persona.

His opinions about cars depend on how big of a joke he can make out of it for publicity.
It's easy to make fun of cars that are not common in Britain.

Nope. He likes the Corvette and always has. Other American cars not so much.
If you really want to see what he makes of American cars and America for that matter this is a must watch unless you're an American, then avoid it like the plague.

I'm glad.
Americans everywhere were losing sleep over not having his approval.

Funny how most American stuff he reviewed in the "OLD" top gear he liked.

I disagree. Anything is a target especially the most popular cars in Britain. He does plenty of reviews for normal cars for various different UK papers and he has some strange opinions most of them wrong since the cars he hates tend to go on to be massive success most infamously the Cayman.

Jeremy Clarkson: A man who 'hates' America so much he calls San Francisco the perfect city and actually came all the way here to propose to his wife. A man who lusted after the Ford GT and has always been a Ford man himself. ;)

As am I. No more bitching about every minor thing he says hopefully.

I've watched that mess, which like most of his videos is indeed BBC-related. I felt it was a failed attempt at satirizing America. The bits which are supposedly serious - whose inclusion alone was a mistake if my previous sentence is correct - are so horribly done and there's so much false information that I'd say everyone in his safe judgment (other than Russians and Iranians) should avoid it. There are much better ways to poke fun at America and Americans than putting Ariel Atoms racing against Dodge Rams or claiming that a 300C SRT8 is lighter than an E60 M5.

For some reason, even though Clarkson rags on the Americans so much, he always seems to like Corvette's.

Everyone who has watched old objective Top Gear should know that what he says on new TG is often just controversial for the sake of controversy.

It was pretty clear that Clarkson quite liked the Stingray back when he reviewed it in July. http://www.driving.co.uk/car-reviews/th…

Maybe being European I'm biased but I enjoyed it. Got to see a lot of cool cars which was what I watched it for. That said the only bit I took seriously was the 4x4 part but even then that was a forgone conclusion, of course the Range Rover was gonna win.

Well, that was the problem. I watched it a) to laugh b) to get some insight. However the bias and script was so painfully obvious (e.g. Clarkson has no problem thrashing a Stage 3 Roush car in Willow Springs, but an experient racing driver spins it in the first corner) and the matches were so terrible (Stage 3 Roush vs. Exige; Atom vs. Ram; 300C vs M5; pristine XJ40 vs. obviously beater Lincoln) that it becomes more bigoted than entertaining. He does make a few good points (e.g. Americans treat cars as disposable products a lot more than people from other nations), but overall I still found it terrible. And I'm European too.

I didn't say his jokes were exclusive to American cars, but rather it is an easy joke for him to make.
Depending on how big of a joke he makes out of the Cayman and other sucessful cars, he would also obviously gain publicity due to the popular nature of the car.
His success rides on being rude and making fun of cars he may or may not like.

Actually, he also really liked the 1st gen Chrysler LH cars too, and lamented that they never made it to the UK market. So that's maybe two American cars (OK, the LHs were technically Canadian, but still).
I think most of Clarkson's anti-Americanism was in reaction to the unpopularity of George W. Bush overseas and the fact that Clarkson's wife was a very active leader in the British anti-war movement against participation Iraq war. Now that Mr. Obama Barack (as Clarkson calls him) is in office and the wars are winding down (or at least, we're extricating from them), he probably feels he can drop some of the act now.
